This General Electric radio known as the "Musaphonic" is a quality AM/FM radio amplifier. Produced in the early 60s when plastic mold injected transistor radios started to take over the industry. Strong quality wood tube radios like this one were becoming less and less affordable to manufacture, and eventually were completely phased out. Fortunately for us such quality radios are still around for us to enjoy!

Inside this radio we find a 6 tube AM/FM amplifier and a 6 inch  permanent magnet speaker.

This radio has been restored and converted with a direct MP3/iPhone line-in. USB charger and Bluetooth upgrades available.
